The SFB 948, the China Forum Freiburg and the Department of Chinese Studies at the University of Freiburg have joined forces on this lecture series that draws comparisons between historic and contemporary Chinese heroic figures and heroes from other parts of the world. | |

Science Jam No. 5: The SFB 948 partnered with the Bernstein Center Freiburg and the BrainLinks-BrainTools Cluster of Excellence to bring you the fifth Science Jam on March 18, 2015. The theme was heroes in science and music. |

En Travesti: On February 27, 2015, the SFB 948 hosted a lecture-recital entitled “En Travesti: The Woman as Man in Early 19th-Century Opera”. |

School Partnership: A group of Year 12 students from the Berthold-Gymnasium got to take a seminar class organized by the SFB 948 called “Krieg und Frieden” (War and Peace). The final session took place on July 25, 2014, featuring student presentations. |

Screening Series: In the 2014 Summer Semester, the SFB 948 organized a film screening series titled "Der Erste Weltkrieg im Film" (The First World War in Film). |
