People’s Daily Online, „Symposium „Deutsch-chinesische Helden und Anti-Helden“ an der SISU eröffnet“ | 11. Oktober 2018
The SFB was a co-initiator of the syposium „Deutsch-chinesische Helden und Anti-Helden. Strategien der Heroisierung und Deheroisierung in interkultureller Perspektive“ (German-Chinese heroes and anti-heroes. Strategies of heroisation and de-heroisation in intercultural perspective) at the Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), that took place from 10. - 13. october 2018. The Chinese news platform People's Daily Online published a report about the symposium.

The Deutschlandfunk radio programme Aus Religion und Gesellschaft aired a feature about heroes and martyrs, where the author Mechtild Klein interviewed Prof. Ulrich Bröckling and Prof. Johanna Pink, heads of projects D12 and D14, respectively. SWR2, “Der Wunderwortepriester” | July 6, 2018
Prof. Achim Aurnhammer, head of Project D6, was a guest on SWR2 Forum, a radio program on SWR2. The episode discussed Stefan George, the German poet and literary translator, and was broadcast in honour of his 150th birthday.

The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported on the workshop organized by Project D14 entitled “Martyrdom in the Modern Islamic World”.
