Video Exhibit "Helden-Karambolage"
On Thurs., July 3, 2014, the video exhibit "Helden-Karmbolage" in the Kommunales Kino Freiburg was officially opened. In select short films from the popular ARTE program Karambolage (in German) "Helden-Karambolage" presents heroic myths from history, art and sports. From Vercingetorix to Winnetou and the 'Heroes of Bern' heroic figures on both sides of the Rhine are portrayed - with equal parts good humor and seriousness. Following the short films Ann-Christin Bolay and Jakob Willis, research associates at the SFB 948 and initiators of the "Helden-Karambolage," hosted a dialogue with Claire Doutriaux (ARTE), Prof. Dr. Andreas Gelz (SFB 948, University of Freiburg) and Tobias Scheffel (literary translator). |
